Bio

Francesco Mangiafridda, Visual Artist

I’m Francesco Mangiafridda, I was born in 1989, Termini Imerese (PA, Italy). At the age of 16 I moved to Turin where I began my journey in the digital design world. Since then, I travelled and worked across my country and abroad (China and Malta).

I got close to contemporary art for the first time in China, in 2012. I was an intern in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Beijing. Since then, I’ve felt the urgency to launch a message, create question-raising projects and leave a mark that could survive and last beyond my existence.

I’m currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts of Verona, where I also work and teach visual design. In my projects I tend to explore the delicate balance and contradictions among body, mind and social environment and their precepts.
